After you read the book, you are to write a summary of the book. They summary should be at least 2 pages and no more than 4 pages. All you have to do is tell the story from beginning to end in your own words. We will discuss this book during the first week of school, and you will have a test on it. The summary is due August 10, 2020.
Once you have read your two books below, complete the following assignments. You only have to do one assignment per book.
1. This assignment must be typed, and all answers should be in complete sentences.
2. Name the setting.
3. Briefly describe two of the main characters.
4. Briefly explain the main conflict and its resolution.
5. Describe the climax.
6. Summarize the plot in ten to twelve sentences. You don’t have to re-tell the entire story!
Create a book jacket. The front cover should be creatively illustrated and include the title and author. The inside flap should have a brief description of the book (NOT a summary) which should interest a potential reader. The back flap should give brief information about the author. The back cover can have reviews of the book, more illustration, or any other information which would make the book jacket appealing.
The grades will be the first major grades of the new school year. They are due on the second full day of class for the 2020-2021 school year.
